In November 2019, I made a viral video to increase customer engagement on Facebook for K9 Ballistics Dog Beds. My budget: $0. I used only videos that customers had sent in of their “dogs” using K9 Ballistics beds.
In actuality, the video did not include dogs, but it DID feature a tiger, guinea pigs, cheetahs, ducklings, and tiny pigs- while the captions touted the many benefits for “dogs.”
The video went viral within two days. The customers loved feeling like they were in on a joke and were eager to share about their own “dogs.”

Of course, there were a few who weren’t in on the joke. The result created an unexpected opportunity for even more customer engagement!
In the end, I earned landing page views for 6 cents each as well as the engagement I was hoping for - over 1,000,000 views and 1,000 comments and shares.
