K9 Ballistics, Adventures in Shopify


2019 brought the east wind for Magento. We replatformed on Shopify and tried not to look back. Did we succeed in not looking back? Depends on where you're sitting.

One thing I learned is that Shopify is not a cure-all. It's supposed to:

  1. Improve SEO
  2. Improve conversion rates
  3. Lower operation costs
  4. Make life easier

While it did make our IT manager's life a bit easier, especially around the time of 12 midnight, we've had plenty of scares on the platform.

At the end of the day intelligent work is what makes any system work. That's true for Magento and it's true for Shopify as well. That should be both a cause for celebration (and concern) for designers and IT managers everywhere.
